Volunteers ensure that medicine deliveries continue in Haizhu

The 40 medical security points in the COVID-19 control area of Guangzhou's Haizhu district are equipped with more than 100 kinds of commonly used drugs, and each grid is equipped with one to two full-time medicine delivery volunteers to ensure that medicine delivery access is available. Currently, the daily average number of home drug deliveries is more than 300 and the daily average number of telephone consultations exceeds 600.

In the Haizhu control area, there are 32,000 pregnant women, seniors living alone, people with mobility problems, and other key groups. As a result, 93,000 medical services have been provided since the current round of COVID-19 prevention and control measures were implemented.

Coordinating with the tertiary hospitals and community health service centers in the area, 30 new beds and three maternity clinics have been added, while a total of 1,730 pregnant women have been provided life-saving services and 117 pregnant women have given birth.

At present, 100 insured pharmacies and 242 retail pharmacies in Haizhu district are operating normally, while each e-commerce online platform and online mall of local drug chains can receive orders.
