During the recent COVID-19 outbreak in Haizhu, Guangzhou Automobile (GAC) Group sent 17,801 people to participate in supporting the district's COVID-19 prevention and control efforts, as well as donated money and materials.

GAC Group, which owns several joint ventures like GAC Honda and GAC Toyota, also mobilized the power of its Japanese partners by not only helping them understand China's epidemic prevention policies and measures, but also by assisting their efforts to contribute money and personnel to support the district's COVID-19 fight.

In addition to assisting with nucleic acid testing, distribution of supplies, as well as information collection and transfer, the volunteers from GAC Group are contributing to pandemic provent efforts by bringing their own trucks, forklifts, as well as other equipment to help with the construction of mobile cabin hospitals.

As of Nov 22, GAC Group has transported, unloaded, and helped set up 585 restrooms, showers, as well as other mobile cabin hospital materials.
