The Guangdong Education, Science, Culture and Health Union (ESCHU) recently donated 1.2 million yuan ($167,886) to help Haizhu universities in their COVID-19 fight.

At present, Guangzhou's Haizhu district is still strictly implementing strong COVID-19 prevention and control measures. The Guangdong ESCHU has been assisting teachers and students in areas where the pandemic is particularly prevalent, doing a good job in securing materials, keeping abreast of people in those areas' thoughts and practical difficulties, as well as trying its best to solve the urgent problems they are facing.

In order to meet the needs of Guangdong University of Finance and Economics (GUFE) and Guangdong Light Industry Vocational Technology College for COVID-19 prevention and control materials, as well as living materials, the Guangdong ESCHU has teamed with caring enterprises to collect masks, protective clothing, disinfectant, antigen detection reagents, and food through its 1.2 million yuan donation.

On Nov 20, about 1,100 boxes of milk, 1,400 boxes of instant noodles, and 700 boxes of eight-jewel porridge were delivered to GUFE to meet the breakfast needs of teachers and students.
