14 markets, 451 stalls in Haizhu's COVID-19 control zone reopen

Fourteen farmers' markets and 451 stalls in the Haizhu enhanced COVID-19 prevention and control area reopened on Nov 17. People can now enter the markets if they have a negative nucleic acid result taken within the past 24 hours.

Haizhu has utilized the supply and distribution channels of supermarkets and online fresh food platforms throughout the region, as well as mobilized 7,100 distribution and sorting personnel so that food and living supplies can be delivered to residents in the control area. To date, the district has delivered 1.2 million packages of living materials to residents.

Haizhu has set up 318 points and 1,196 nucleic acid testing units to ensure that all households and people's needs are met. As of Nov 17, Haizhu has conducted 1.61 million nucleic acid tests.
