While Haizhu district currently implementing strict COVID-19 prevention and control measures, the district's delivery drivers are working hard to ensure that residents are able to get the food and household supplies they need during this period.

A Haizhu delivery platform has responded to the calls of the supervisory department and has explored the establishment of a "relay distribution" network with several communities in the district, ensuring that materials can be distributed throughout Haizhu's COVID-19 control area.

On Nov 14, a large truck full of supplies entered the Haizhu control area and arrived at the material distribution point near the Lijiao Memorial Pagoda. The supplies were then unloaded and sorted to ensure that they can be properly distributed to all residents in the control area.

According to the manager in charge of the delivery platform, the platform has increased its inventory of a variety of livelihood goods, such as fruit, vegetables, meat and poultry, grain, oil, rice, noodles, personal care items, child care supplies, alcoholic beverages, as well as other goods.

The delivery service has also strengthened its safety measures, which include strict COVID-19 prevention and control measures like disinfection, as well as contactless handover and delivery to ensure the safety of the whole supply delivery process.
