On the evening of Nov 4, Haizhu district issued the Notification of Strengthening COVID-19 Control and Prevention Measures in Haizhu District (7).

This notification has been issued to strengthen epidemic control and prevention measures so as to curb the spread of COVID-19 and achieve zero COVID-19 community transmissions.

Please pay close attention to the following vital information.

Q: How can I get medical treatment?

A: Taxis and ride-share services are operating normally and available for residents. For residents in medium- and high-risk areas and temporary lockdown areas, if you have need for non-acute or non-critical care such as pregnancy and prenatal checkups, dialysis, chemotherapy and treatment for tumors, you can contact your community to apply for a transfer vehicle. In case of acute and critical medical needs, please call 120 for emergency services.

Q: Is only one person per household allowed to buy necessities or pick up delivery and takeaway orders outside our residential community every day?

A: Residents shall not go outdoors except to take PCR tests or receive emergency medical treatment. One person in each household can be allowed to buy daily necessities or receive contactless delivery services in the designated time slot in an orderly manner. According to the requirement for strictly controlling residents' movement, you should shorten your time spent outdoors as much as possible. Providers of public services such as food supplies, supermarkets (including farm produce markets), pharmacies, medical institutions, and restaurants (takeaway and delivery services only) are operating normally. Takeaway services or on-site purchases operate according to their own rules.

Q: Are express and delivery services available?

A: Logistics, express and delivery services are running normally to meet the needs of residents . You can buy necessities via online platforms.

Q: How to meet the basic needs of those needing special care?

A: 24-hour service hotlines and medical consultation hotlines set up by all subdistricts are ready to respond to your demands. Please contact the staff in your community if you experience any difficulties.

Q: Do I have to work from home to avoid inter-district movement?

A: Apart from those responsible for the normal operation of the city, medical care, emergency and epidemic prevention and control who can travel across districts with 24-hour negative PCR test results and relevant work certificates, other people are required to work from home. Apart from those mentioned above, other vehicles (including scooters and bicycles) are required to stay put.

Q: Will PCR test results be checked on major roads?

A: Temporary traffic control will be implemented in the whole area of Haizhu district. Subway and bus services are suspended. Except for vehicles related to basic urban operation, medical treatment, emergency and epidemic prevention and control, which can be granted access to roads in accordance with relevant COVID-19 control measures, other vehicles (including scooters and bicycles) are required to stay put. Please cooperate with certificate checking and code scanning and present negative PCR test results. Main roads such as Jiangwan Bridge, Haiyin Bridge and Guangzhou Bridge will be kept open.
