Since Oct 23, more than 32,000 medical workers have come to Haizhu district to support regional COVID-19 prevention and control efforts, including contact tracing and nucleic acid testing.

Haizhu has set up a medical security group, established a green channel for emergency and critical medical treatment, as well as coordinated with tertiary hospitals to send patients for emergency and critical medical treatment.

It has established health records for 30,934 key care groups in the control area, including pregnant women, seniors, hemodialysis patients, patients with chronic diseases, and cancer patients.

To date, Haizhu has received 9,682 telephone medical consultations from the public, provided 1,265 home visits, as well as sent 489 people for medical treatment and hospitalization.

The district has also set up a resident medical team, which is staffed by community health service institutions and tertiary hospitals. In addition, 27 medical security points have been established in the control area, while 36 ambulances have been equipped.
