On Oct 28, the Guangdong Provincial People's Government approved the establishment of Guangzhou Pazhou Economic Development Zone.

Guangzhou Pazhou Economic Development Zone has a planned area of 702 hectares and is divided into three zones, including Pazhou West Zone, Pazhou Middle and East Zone, as well as Pazhou South Zone.

The planning and construction of Guangzhou Pazhou Economic Development Zone will focus on supply-side structural reform to propel its high-quality development. Upon completion, it is expected to be the main engine that drives the adjustment of the regional economic structure and the transformation of economic development modes.

Guangzhou Pazhou Economic Development Zone will implement spatial land planning, according to the prescribed procedures, to carry out specific land application and approval procedures. It will supply land in accordance with the law, mainly industrial land, while making rational, intensive, as well as efficient use of land resources, with commercial real estate development not allowed.
