On Oct 25, there were 73 new locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases in Guangzhou, all of whom have been transferred to the Eighth Municipal Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University in a closed loop. The patients were all in stable condition and there are no serious or critically infected patients.

Haizhu has divided the pandemic control area into 53 grids, in which requirements of people not leaving their homes, as well as that door-to-door service and pickups are staggered to reduce the movement of people have been strictly implemented.

The district has also implemented a food supply system that involves more than 20 supermarkets and e-commerce platforms, in which groceries will be delivered in a timely fashion to people within the control area. Groceries will be distributed to communities and then delivered manually to residents' doors.

The fifth round of full nucleic acid testing was recently carried out in Haizhu district. As of 16:00 on Oct 26, Haizhu has screened 1.4 million people. The public is asked to actively cooperate with the nucleic acid testing requirements while always implementing personal protection measures.
