The launch ceremony for the 2022 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area College Students Creative Festival was held in Haizhu district on Sept 29.
The scale of this year's festival has been fully upgraded, not only opening up the Hong Kong and Macao competition areas, but also expanding the event to ASEAN and other regions along the "Belt and Road".
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Greater Bay Area College Students Creative Festival is committed to shaping the cultural identity of the youth in the Greater Bay Area, driving young people to participate in the construction of the Greater Bay Area, as well as becoming an important platform for young people from the three places to conduct cultural exchanges.
This competition is guided by the Hong Kong Liaison Office's Outreach Department, the Macao Liaison Office's Education and Youth Department, the Guangzhou Overseas Friendship Association, as well as the Guangzhou Haizhu Overseas Friendship Association. It is being hosted by Jinan University.
The theme for this year's festival is "Fantasy Parallel Universe," which encourages young people to break through traditional thinking frameworks and explore more unknown possibilities.
Its main competition area has four major competition topics, while the Hong Kong sub-competition area has the theme of "Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage Items".
The preliminary stage of the competition is from Sept 29 to Nov 30. After the preliminary selection, the shortlisted participants will compete in the final competition.
Going forward, the festival's organizers will continue to leverage their resource advantages, pooling resources across industries to promote the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area College Students Creative Festival, as well as continuing to enhance exchanges and interactions between young people in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.
