On Sept 27, doctors from community hospitals underwent training for the Gold Medal Family Doctors program at the Haizhu District Community Health Development Guidance Center. At present, more than 160 community doctors and over 30 community nurses have participated in the training in Haizhu.

The training covers the daily treatment and care of cardiovascular diseases, gynecological diseases, blood problems, as well as psychological problems.

"Participating doctors have to train for one year in total. After passing the assessment, they will obtain the certificate of gold medal family doctor," said the relevant person in charge of the Haizhu district health bureau.
