Pazhou artificial intelligence and digital economy pilot zone was recently selected as the only national e-commerce demonstration base with outstanding comprehensive evaluation results in Guangdong province.
In 2015, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce proposed creating an e-commerce demonstration base in Guangdong province and identified Pazhou for it. Since then, Pazhou has become the focus of development in Guangzhou and Haizhu district.
In September 2021, Pazhou artificial intelligence and digital economy pilot zone was rated as a national e-commerce demonstration base. It was the only e-commerce park selected in Guangdong province at that time.
Last year, the main business income of Pazhou artificial intelligence and digital economy pilot zone was 366.85 billion yuan ($51.25 billion), a year-on-year increase of 23 percent.
At present, there are 31 industrial parks in the zone. It is also home to 20 technology business incubators, including three national-level incubators, as well as 17 makerspaces, including two national-level makerspaces. As of the end of June, there are over 6,200 e-commerce companies in the zone.
Haizhu leverages the role of the Guangzhou Internet Court in the Pazhou artificial intelligence and digital economy pilot zone, as well as uses new technologies, such as big data, cloud computing, the internet of things, and judicial artificial intelligence, to build a smart trial platform, which has broken through time and space limits to provide an extremely simplified litigation service experience for e-commerce trade.
