Haizhu has 53 libraries open to the public to provide public cultural service.

Through the library + science and technology innovation base partnering with the library + industry association, Haizhu heavily develops social forces to build branch libraries, solves the intricate problems of unbalanced book service and resources spanning east and west, and promotes a blanket and complete coverage of book services.

On the one hand, Haizhu introduces public library services into the school mainstream. On the other hand, the public library creates a theme branch that reflects Haizhu's rich culture and characteristics.

Haizhu district opened its HI CITY branch of Haizhu Library on Nanzhou Road. Haizhu Library and HI CITY built the subsequent branch. Next to the HI CITY branch of Haizhu Library, Haizhu connected the adjacent exhibition hall with the library and renovated it as an independent reading area, with five separate long tables and an additional 30 reading seats.

The G+ branch of Haizhu Library is located in G + Coffee. The library is located on the second floor of G + Coffee, with an area of 800 square meters and a planned collection of 10,000 books. The library integrates public reading, art exhibitions, and coffee. The location provides an open platform for creators to encourage creativity and exchange meaningful ideas.

This year, Haizhu has added 11 new libraries and cultural centers to its collection and promoted 14 upgraded and renovated public sports venues; applied for 26 municipal-level non-genetic inheritance bases, and created 15 municipal-level education and practice bases that cast a strong cohesion for the Chinese community. Haizhu carried out more than 600 activities, including the Lingnan guqin competition and the Haizhu wetland walking conference.
