Haizhu is providing 60,000 ice creams at five locations for social workers in the summer.

Medical workers, fire rescue commanders and firefighters, policemen, volunteers, sanitation workers, as well as construction workers can eat these ice creams for free as long as they pass by. After providing the ice cream, staff members will restock in a timely fashion to ensure ice cream supply.

The five locations include Zhao Guangjun Life Hot Line, Haizhu Bus Station, Workers' Love Station, Canton Tower, and the Haizhu Youth Volunteer Association.

The free ice cream campaign is running for 18 days from Aug 23 to Sept 9. It is designed to pay tribute to people who are working outdoors in the high temperature, while helping provide them some relief from the summer heat.
