On Aug 18, the opening ceremony of the Haizhu Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) service station of the Guangzhou branch of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (GCPIT), as well as the service station of the Haizhu branch of the Guangzhou Economic and Trade Friction Warning Center were held in Haizhu.

The CCPIT Guangzhou built these stations to strengthen corporate services and promote the high-quality implementation of the RCEP.

In the future, CCPIT Guangzhou will give full play to its resource advantages and team with the Haizhu district government to ensure the high-quality implementation of the RCEP by guiding enterprises to familiarize themselves with the preferential tariff commitments and rules in various fields under the agreement, helping them seize the opportunities brought by the implementation of the RCEP.

During the event, experts from the GCPIT conducted RCEP policy training for enterprises, explained the tariff planning and application procedures under the RCEP agreement in detail, helped enterprises understand RCEP rules of origin and familiarized them on the certificate application process, as well s guided enterprises to make good use of RCEP preferential policies to improve their international competitiveness.

Enterprise representatives said that the training was fruitful, which will help enterprises understand the good development opportunities brought by the RCEP, better grasp the use of RCEP preferential policies, as well as seize the opportunities of the RCEP to expand and diversify their presence in international markets.
