A groundbreaking ceremony marking the start of construction of the Qi-Anxin Building in Haizhu district's Pazhou Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Pilot Zone was held on Aug 16. This was the 28th corporate headquarters project started in Pazhou Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Pilot Zone since 2015.

In April last year, Qi-Anxin invested in the industrial land in Haizhu. As the hardware carrier of Qi'anxin South China Headquarters and Digital Economy Security Industrial Park, Qi'anxin Building is located in the west area of Pazhou Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Pilot Zone. It will have a building height of 145 meters, a total land area of 4,218 square meters, and a total construction area of about 73,000 sq ms, with construction expected to be completed in 2025.

Qi-Anxin is a leading domestic network security provider and a market leader in enterprise-level network security. Its business covers cloud and big data security management centers, IoT protection management systems, industrial internet security service centers, as well as other frontier areas of the network security industry.

In the past three years, the compound annual growth rate of revenue and tax revenue in the western area of the Pazhou Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Pilot Zone has been close to 60 percent and 40 percent respectively, while there were 10 enterprise groups with tax contributions exceeding 100 million yuan ($14.74 million).

Relying on Pazhou's digital economy industry, the new generation information technology service industry has grown into one of the six pillar industries in Haizhu district in recent years. By the end of 2021, the number of the industry's enterprises above designated size in Haizhu has increased from 89 in 2015 to 227, its scale has increased from 2.327 billion yuan in 2015 to 57.02 billion yuan, with an average annual growth of over 70 percent, and its proportion of the GDP has increased to 12.2 percent.

Last year, the digital economy industry, represented by the new generation information technology service industry, in Haizhu district continued to maintain rapid growth despite the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, with a year-on-year growth rate of 23.9 percent, ranking second in Guangzhou.

At the end of last year, Haizhu district had 14 commercial buildings with tax revenue exceeding 100 million yuan, an increase of 1.33 times compared with 2015. The most prominent contribution was the digital economy industry, which accounted for 42 percent of the building industry.
