The new Guangzhou Art Gallery is expected to open in September. Located on Yizhou Road in Guangzhou's Haizhu district, south of the Canton Tower, the art museum's design is inspired by red cotton blooming in water.

The new location of the Guangzhou Art Gallery is primarily composed of a collection area, an exhibition area, a cultural education and public service area, a business research and management area, an equipment area, an underground parking garage, as well as a public area.

The central rotunda of the art gallery is equipped with a skylight to provide sufficient natural light for the internal public space. With the change of the angle of the sunlight, the light and shadow changes in the museum.

The new Guangzhou Art Gallery will be built into a large-scale modern, international, and digital Guangzhou portal art platform integrating collections, exhibitions, research and exchanges, as well as education. It is expected to become a new landmark of Guangzhou culture.
