Located in the northeast of Haizhu Lake Park, the new Guangzhou Cultural and Arts Center will open to the public in September, according to the Guangzhou municipal culture, radio, television and tourism bureau.
The center features a distinctive garden design of the Lingnan (the region encompassing Guangdong and nearby provinces in southeastern China) region and covers an area of about 167,400 square meters. It will include a public cultural center, a Lingnan calligraphy garden, a Lingnan opera garden, an orchard, a Guangzhou style garden, as well as a Guangzhou embroidery garden.
