The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) held its first conference on innovation and intellectual property (IP) protection in Guangzhou on July 13. About 200 people from the Chinese government, international organizations, scientific research institutes, industry organizations, and well-known enterprises, as well as officials from foreign consulates in Guangzhou attended the meeting.
The conference featured online and offline elements, including a series of activities like the plenary session and the sub-forum of intellectual property rights in the digital economy, the sub-forum of Chinese intellectual property directors, as well as the sub-forum of green development and regional intellectual property innovation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The participants discussed topics like grasping the international technological innovation trends, improving the global intellectual property system, supporting the high-quality development of the world economy with the intellectual property system, as well as challenges and opportunities in the field of intellectual property.
According to the Boao Forum for Asia, technological innovation has been the key content of the forum in recent years. The forum has specially set up the International Forum on Science and Technology and Innovation, as well as held a special conference on innovation and intellectual property protection.
