On July 6, the Guangdong Intangible Cultural Heritage Lingnan Traditional Auto-Moxibustion Therapy Inheritance Base, the Guangdong Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Hospital Acupuncture Alliance, and Doctor Fu Wenbin's Studio held unveiling ceremonies at Haizhu TCM Hospital.

Auto-moxibustion therapy is an external treatment that utilizes medication, solar terms, as well as acupuncture points and meridians. The deployment of special medication sticking to a specific acupoint ensures that the medication can continue to stimulate the treated acupoints.

Since 1984, Guangdong TCM Hospital has started to carry out auto-moxibustion therapy on a large scale. By 2021, it has treated nearly 4 million patients with auto-moxibustion therapy. The treatment was selected for the intangible cultural heritage list of Guangzhou and Guangdong province.

After the Auto-Moxibustion Therapy Inheritance Base was listed in Haizhu TCM Hospital, the two parties will cooperate in terms of prescriptions and clinical research to promote the inheritance and development of Lingnan traditional medicine.

Haizhu TCM Hospital will make use of the Guangdong TCM Hospital Acupuncture Alliance to strengthen the construction of TCM service teams, promote the development of TCM acupuncture technology at the grassroots level, and provide more convenient TCM health services.
