On June 28, the Information Office of the Guangdong Provincial Government held a press conference on the construction of the linkage development zone of the Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone, in which Pazhou Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Pilot Zone was selected to be included in it.

The Guangdong Provincial Government recently approved the establishment of Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone linkage development zones in 13 cities, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Shantou, Foshan, Shaoguan, Huizhou, Shanwei, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Yangjiang, Zhanjiang, and Maoming.

The linkage development zone of the Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone consists of the Guangzhou Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Pilot Zone, Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, Konggang, and Nansha Science City, covering 118.78 square kilometers.

It will replicate and promote 58 reform and innovation experiences in the Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone, involving key areas like investment, trade, finance, as well as legal services. It will also actively promote the construction of a joint development zone to create a higher level of openness, a better business environment, and international competition in Guangzhou, which will serve as a new hub for innovation and development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

At present, Haizhu has facilitated the cooperation between leading enterprises in the field of artificial intelligence and Pazhou enterprises to form the Pazhou Algorithm Industry Center, which uses artificial intelligence technology to support enterprises, scientific research teams, as well as developers to bolster industry development.
