The former site of the First National Labor Conference, located on Binjiang West Road in Guangzhou's Haizhu district, reopened on June 27.
The original site was built in the 1920s and consists of two buildings in the north and south. The western-style concrete main building in the north was the office of the Guangdong Machinery Union, while the auditorium with a brick and wood structure in the south was the site of the First National Labor Conference.
The First National Labor Conference was the first national meeting of the Chinese working class. As one of the birthplaces of modern revolutions in China, it has now become a patriotic education base, a revolutionary traditional education base for the Chinese labor movement, a red revolutionary site, as well as a patriotic education base in Guangdong.
