The Haizhu district investment promotion bureau, Guangzhou International Investment Promotion Center, and Fengyang sub-district office held a fashion industry investment promotion conference on June 8, with more than 30 enterprise representatives attending.

Located in Haizhu, Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) International Innovation Valley has formed the world's largest textile trading center with Ruikang Road as the center, connecting Xingang Road and Xinjiao West Road, as well as covering an area of 1.5 square kilometers. It has gathered more than 10 cloth trading parks, 63 professional markets, 23,000 shops, more than 100,000 direct employees, and more than 2 million people in related industries. It also generates an annual transaction volume of more than 200 billion yuan ($29.68 billion).

At present, SYSU International Innovation Valley is striving to become an international fashion center that integrates a textile fashion publishing center, a textile industry standard center, a textile industry data center, as well as a textile industry science and technology innovation center.
In 2020, Haizhu introduced measures to provide strong talent, capital, and government service support for the development of the fashion industry in the business district. In 2021, Haizhu issued plans to promote the comprehensive development of SYSU International Innovation Valley.
