The 2022 awards ceremony for chief technicians of Haizhu enterprises and the Haizhu vocational skills competition awards ceremony were held at Guangzhou Light Industry Technician College on June 12. In addition, the first batch of chief technicians of enterprises in Haizhu was released.

At the ceremony, awards were also given to Haizhu professionals, Haizhu industrial training demonstration base, and winners of the Haizhu vocational skills competition.

The awards ceremony was jointly organized by the Haizhu district human resources and social security bureau, Haizhu district's federation of trade unions, and the Haizhu district women's federation.

Experts selected five outstanding talents in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital economy, transportation equipment, catering services, as well as the textile and garment industries from various perspectives including technical achievements, number of apprentices, and competition awards, with each talent receiving 100,000 yuan ($14,830).

Li Tianming of Guangzhou Metro Group, He Dongdong of Root Cloud, Liu Ruiqiang of Guangzhou Vanke Internet Technology, Lu Jingquan of Guangzhou Xinxingjiayu, and Shan Yufang of Guangzhou A Life On The Left Clothing were selected to be in the first batch of chief technicians of enterprises in Haizhu.

"I think Haizhu has given a lot of support to the cultivation of high-skilled talents in the industry," Li said.

Haizhu has recruited 25 professionals in leading industries, traditional advantageous industries, and strategic emerging industries to train industrial skilled talents to develop industries, such as artificial intelligence and digital economy, biomedicine and health, as well as digital creativity.

To date, the district has built 15 training bases for skilled personnel above the district level and nine industry training centers. It has also mobilized about 282,000 workers, enterprises, and institutions to participate in vocational skills training activities, with a subsidy fund of about 383 million yuan.
