The first phase of Guangzhou's Pazhou Passenger Terminal recently passed its completion acceptance.

Located in Haizhu district and adjacent to the Canton Fair Complex, Pazhou Passenger Terminal is a key water transportation project in the Greater Bay Area. It is expected to link downtown Guangzhou with Hong Kong and Macao, serving a projected annual capacity of 1.71 million passengers.

As a first-class passenger port, it will be constructed in two phases. Among them, the first phase of the project has an investment of about 393 million yuan. The project has a construction area of 6,500 square meters. The first floor of the temporary joint inspection building is reserved for parking, while the second floor is for exits and the third floor is for entries. The shoreline of the terminal is 280 meters long.

In the first phase, two carbon fiber high-speed passenger ships will be put into operation, and the route from Pazhou to Hong Kong International Airport will be opened, which will take about 120 minutes.

Currently, the Guangzhou Port Authority is making progress in port declaration and other issues for the terminal to begin its official operation in the future. It will bring one-stop check-in and customs clearance services for tourists to take fights at Hong Kong airport via the terminal.

The second phase of the terminal will open shipping lines serving destinations including downtown Hong Kong, downtown Macao, and Macao International Airport in the future.
