The activity commemorates the patriotic poet Qu Yuan, a poet of the Warring States period (475 to 221 BC), by showcasing ancient and modern tea culture. People also shared stories about space stories and promoted space culture at the activity to celebrate the launch of Shenzhou 14.
The activity also organized people to make zongzi, or Chinese rice dumplings, which is a traditional part of the Dragon Boat Festival.
Haizhu National Wetland Park held a dragon boat themed activity, including a dragon boat culture exhibition, a dragon boat race, the traditional game touhu (throw arrows into wine pitchers), and drinking tea.
At the activity site, dragon boat cultural relics, such as dragon heads, dragon tails, drums, gongs, oars, and flags, were featured. The staff of the Haizhu Dragon Boat Association provided overviews of dragon boat cultures, while parents and their children experience dragon boat races.
