The Yuejiang West Road autonomous bus started its open beta testing (OBT) recently. The Guangzhou municipal people's government approved six autonomous bus lines in September 2021, including the Yuejiang West Road line in Haizhu district.

The line has seven stations, including Canton Tower West Station, Yuejiang West Road West Station, Alibaba Building Station, Vipshop Building Station, Yuejiang West Road Middle Station, Yuejiang West Road West Station, and Canton Tower West Station.

The line is 9 kilometers long and operates from 7 am to 9 pm. A bus typically runs every 20 minutes throughout the day, but every 60 minutes from 12 am to 3 pm. During the OBT period, it is free for people.

Passengers over 18 years old can take the bus. When getting on the bus, they must have their temperature taken, show their green health QR code, and wear their masks.

The bus has seven seats, and passengers can only make reservations when there are vacant seats. During the OBT period, it is recommended that passengers book seats in advance to avoid crowds and long waiting times.

The line is operated by the third branch of Guangzhou Public Transport. It will provide people with convenient connections from subways, tram stations, and car parks to workplaces.

In the future, the Pazhou Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Pilot Zone will promote the construction of smart infrastructure and provide more high-level travel services for people.
