At the 131st Canton Fair, a variety of green and low-carbon exhibits have attracted the attention of buyers, with low-carbon being a major theme of this edition of China's largest fair.
In 2014, the green development plan of the Canton Fair was launched, and the goal of a 100 percent green exhibition was completed on schedule. At this Canton Fair, companies exhibited more than 480,000 green and low-carbon products, setting a record high for the number of green and low-carbon exhibits in the fair's history.
Zhang Jing, deputy general manager of Guangzhou Textile Holding Limited, said that the Canton Fair is paying more and more attention to the concept of environmental protection. This edition of the fair has added a green and low-carbon label to appropriate exhibits, which Guangzhou Textile Holding Limited enjoyed. Zhang noted that this showed the company's sense of social responsibility as a state-owned enterprise, as well as the popularity that sustainable products are currently enjoying.
In order to serve the country's carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, the Canton Fair has also added a sustainable development award to promote the green, low-carbon, and sustainable development of related enterprises and industries.
