The results of Guangdong's 2021 "Intangible Cultural Heritage Entering Campus" event have been revealed, with the "Intangible Cultural Heritage Entering Campus" activity held by Jilidao Primary School in Haizhu, a municipal intangible inheritance base, winning the excellent case award.

Jilidao Primary School has established three Guangdong handmade master studios for Guangdong hardwood furniture-making, Guangdong color porcelain firing and Guangzhou olive stone carving. The school adheres to a personalized development path in which it carries out a variety of Guangdong hand-made intangible inheritance activities.

The school has introduced students to intangible cultural heritage practitioners in order to improve the quality of education. In recent years, a number of practitioners have been hired on a regular basis to teach intangible cultural heritage skills to students and record online courses for distribution on various platforms.

Since 2009, Haizhu has carried out intangible cultural heritage activities featuring olive carvings, Guangzhou embroidery, and lion dancing in more than 40 kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, technical schools, colleges and universities. By cultivating a team of teachers on campus and developing courses, Haizhu has established an effective model for preserving cultural heritage that covers the entire district's education system.
