The 1st Guangzhou Pazhou Algorithm Application International Competition has opened its registration channel until May 20.

It includes seven competition areas, covering the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Yangtze River Delta, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area, Northeast China, Central China, West China, and Overseas, covering the six categories of industry, commerce, urban construction, medical care, education, as well as public algorithms. There are 19 awards in this competition, with the highest reward being 200,000 yuan ($31,400).

Benefits of participating in the competition include policy support in Haizhu district, algorithm application scenario support, cooperation support with leading companies, financing support, a green channel for recruitment, and priority recommendation to join the Pazhou Algorithm Industry Alliance.

The preliminary rounds will be held online in May, in which the top 60 in the country will be selected. The semi-finals will be held in Pazhou in June, in which the top 18 in the country will be selected, while the final and the award ceremony will be held in Pazhou in June.

Participating teams need to prepare their project plan and submit the registration form. The project proposal submitted by the participating teams should include a basic team introduction, an industry or market background introduction, a product introduction, a core algorithm introduction, an algorithm solution introduction, a service case or market case introduction, operational data, financial analysis, and future planning.

The competition has organized an expert jury, which will conduct a comprehensive review of the project proposals from the perspectives of industry foresight, technological leadership, core team, and operational data.
