The Guangzhou Science and Technology Innovation Enterprise Association released the list of 2021 Guangzhou Unicorn Innovative Enterprises on Feb 28. It was comprised of 139 companies, of which 16 Haizhu companies were included, with the number of unicorn companies in the district ranking first in Guangzhou for the second consecutive year.

In Haizhu, some companies like Zhijing Technology, Guangzhou Qianda Ma Agricultural Products, and Rootcloud were on the list of 2021 Guangzhou Unicorn Innovative Enterprises, while some companies like Fordeal, Chali and Techphant were on the list of 2021 Guangzhou future unicorn innovative enterprises. Jiandanhui Information Technology was on the list of 2021 Guangzhou seed unicorn enterprises.

To date, Haizhu has cultivated eight unicorn enterprises and 14 future unicorn enterprises. Among them, YSG has been listed, while Zhijing Technology, Rootcloud, and Ysbang have been selected into the 2021 global unicorn list, accounting for three of the 10 Guangzhou enterprises included.

In recent years, Haizhu has supported the development of strategic pillar industries, such as new-generation information technology, modern commerce and trade, high-end services, exhibitions, cultural tourism, as well as smart buildings and urban industries. At present, there are 92 high-growth small and medium-sized enterprises in Haizhu.
