Haizhu held an urban planning and construction seminar and a conference on high-quality urban design along the Pearl River on March 2.
He Jingtang, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, gave a speech detailing innovative architectural practices that contain Lingnan characteristics, which refers to the area consisting of Guangdong and nearby provinces in Southeastern China. Using Haixin Bridge, the University of Macau Hengqin Campus, and other case studies of innovative architecture with Lingnan characteristics, he expounded on how to implement regional, cultural, and epochal characteristics in architectural creation, as well as urban planning and construction.
Cheng Pu, chairman of Guangdong Poly Urban Development, detailed how Poly Group has participated in the development of Haizhu's urban development and construction through micro-renovations of famous city blocks and participating in environmental improvement efforts, adding that the enterprise will continue to work with Haizhu in the future.
In terms of urban planning, Haizhu has made a comprehensive plan centered around the "one zone-one valley-one circle" concept, in which the one zone refers to Pazhou Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Experimental Zone, the one valley refers to Sun Yat-Sen University International Innovation Valley, and the one circle refers to Haizhu's cultural, business, and tourism integration circle. It has also prepared district-level land space planning.
Haizhu will optimize the "one zone-one valley-one circle" development layout and make use of the innovative development of the Pazhou Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Pilot Zone to create a livable, business-friendly, as well as tourist-friendly district.
