Haizhu issued 53 major projects in 2022 on Feb 25, with an annual planned investment of about 15.6 billion yuan ($2.47 billion).

Among them, there are three infrastructure projects, including the passenger port project from Pazhou to Hong Kong and Macao, as well as the Guangdong Power Grid Production and Dispatching Center; 29 industrial construction projects, such as the Tencent Guangzhou Headquarters building and the iFLYTEK Artificial Intelligence building; seven social and people's livelihood projects, including the Sun Yat-sen University south campus improvement project; as well as 14 urban renewal projects, including the urban village renovation project in Xinshitou village.
