The film revolves around an estranged father and son who are reunited and head out on a motorcycle trip together. It follows Wu Renyao, a young man who performs motorcycle stunt shows and hustles for customers at docks, who reunites with his wandering father, Wu Rentian. Together with Renyao's friend Zhou Huangsong, a waiter who dreams of life in the big city, and Huangsong's pompous but sincere brother, Zhou Huange, they leave their hometown and head off together on a motorcycle road trip.

In the part of the film that takes place in Guangzhou, the landmark Canton Tower appears many times. In addition, Haizhu's Datang village appears in the movie. There are colorful neon lights and bustling streets here, exemplifying life in Haizhu.
