On Feb 22, the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the Haizhu government and Guangdong University of Finance and Economics (GDUFE) was held at the Haizhu district office conference center.

The two sides will cooperate on fields like technology research and development (R&D), talent training, as well as economic development. It will combine Haizhu's industrial advantages and project resource advantages with GDUFE's geographic and talent resources advantages to attract more scientific research achievements, R&D institutions, as well as high-level talents to Haizhu.

GDUFE will organize experts, scholars, as well as research teams to conduct specialized research and policy research on Haizhu's economic development. GDUFE representatives noted that this cooperation was a powerful exploration of the innovative talent training model between the school and the government, which would help promote the complementary advantages and resource sharing between schools, the government, and enterprises, as well as improve the effectiveness of education. The university will also provide high-quality human resources to bolster Haizhu's economic and social development.

GDUFE is developing a digital economy professional laboratory and a digital bank to further its efforts to cultivate more high-end talents in the digital economy. Haizhu and GDUFE will build bases for teachers' social practice, college students' internships, employment and entrepreneurship, as well as volunteer services.
