A sketch painting exhibition is being held at Shixiang garden in Guangzhou's Haizhu district from Feb 15 to March 15, with hundreds of paintings inspired by Lingnan culture, which refers to the culture of Guangdong and the nearby provinces in southeastern China.

The paintings in this exhibition are by 12 famous painters, including Liao Zongyi, member of the China Artists Association, Li Xingtao, a national first-class artist, Zhu Guangrong, director of the Guangdong Artists Association, as well as Lin Lan, a professor at the Guangdong Academy of Painting and director of the China Artists Association.

In Chinese painting, sketch painting has its own unique aesthetic language and creative characteristics. Although they emphasize simplicity, they also highlight the tension of brush and ink, forming a unique artistic language system.
