A Lingnan guqin concert was held in Haizhu on Dec 29, 2021. Lingnan is an area that consists of Guangdong and nearby provinces in southeastern China and the guqin is a traditional Chinese musical instrument.

In 2003, guqin music was proclaimed one of the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

As the center of Lingnan guqin art, Haizhu is committed to promoting the culture surrounding it. The Lingnan guqin concert has become a Haizhu brand and nine Lingnan guqin concerts have been held since 2012, attracting professionals and enthusiasts from around the world.

The concert consists of guqin solos, ensembles, string songs, traditional dances, tea art and tai chi.

The concert was held in Xiaogang Park, using the park's original bamboo forest to create an immersive guqin experience. The concert introduced a new media information dissemination platform for full live broadcasts, which not only allowed people to experience online, but also further expanded the audience.
