A used clothing recycling activity was held in Haizhu Wanda Plaza on Dec 11, during which 84,000 pieces of used clothing were donated and sent to 14,727 children in 135 rural primary schools.

This activity set up areas where used clothes could be donated on 18 streets, 15 primary and secondary schools, and seven enterprise parks. The Young Pioneers of Haizhu sang songs to encourage more people to donate clothes to young people in rural areas.

A family member who donated three large bags of clothes said, "My children took part in this activity in school. I am very proud of them and hope that such activities can continue."

The activity also included 10 activity booths, with the old clothes DIY creative booth proving extremely popular. Young volunteers turned old clothes into flower pots, and students painted patterns on glass bottles to transform them into vases.
