Alternatively, you may go to the official website of the People's Government of Guangdong Province and learn about the latest travel policies issued by the Guangzhou COVID-19 Prevention and Control Headquarters in the COVID-19 measures section.

According to the announcement made by the Guangzhou COVID-19 Prevention and Control Headquarters on Oct 22, passengers from high-risk areas shall go through a 14-day centralized quarantine upon arrival. Those from medium-risk areas shall undergo a 14-day home quarantine.

For districts (prefecture-level cities) with reported local cases, but have not been identified as medium- or high-risk areas, and if the source of infection remains unclear or community transmission exists, such areas shall be deemed as medium-risk areas according to management.

Passengers from prefecture-level cities (or districts of municipalities directly under the jurisdiction of the central government) with reported local cases shall take two COVID tests within three days and conduct self-health monitoring at home for 14 days.

Passengers from provinces with reported cases must possess a valid negative PCR test certificate taken within 48 hours before arrival, take another test at the airport, train station, or nearby testing site upon arrival in Guangzhou, and conduct self-health monitoring for 14 days.

Passengers from other provinces are also recommended to take a COVID test upon arrival in Guangzhou.

Which are the medium- and high-risk areas?

You may open the State Council service platform on WeChat and click on "COVID-19 risk information" to see the lists of medium- and high-risk areas in China.

Recently, more and more Chinese regions have reported local cases. For an early victory in the COVID-19 fight, please cooperate with our safety protocols. Passengers with relevant travel history are required to report to their local community (village), employer, or hotel.

Guangzhou COVID-19 Prevention and Control Headquarters will make real-time adjustments to the COVID-19 measures according to the latest epidemic dynamics. Areas with no reported cases, but having patients infected with COVID-19 who reportedly visited the area, may also be included in the restriction lists. Please pay attention to the latest policies regarding your place of departure before travelling to Guangzhou.
