A press conference on ensuring the smooth operation of the upcoming 130th China Import and Export Fair was held by the Guangzhou municipal people's government information office on Oct 12.

The China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, will take place in Guangzhou's Haizhu district from Oct 15 to 19 this year. 

The district continues to upgrade various areas such as pandemic prevention and control, environmental renovation, safety guarantees and market order to provide high-quality services at the event.

A total of two large nucleic acid testing sites, five testing sites around the Canton Fair venue and 13 sites at hotels have been set up to provide free nucleic acid testing services for attendees with valid certificates for the 130th Canton Fair.

The urban landscape has been renovated with flower displays featuring elements of the Canton Fair and Guangzhou. 

Nearly 1,500 volunteers have been recruited to provide considerate services for participants at the event.
