The first folk culture festival in Guangzhou's Haizhu district opened at Haizhu National Wetland Park on Sept 29 and lasted until Oct 7.

A series of activities featuring local folk culture elements such as dragon boat martial art shows were held during the festival at the wetland park.

A flower field of 20,000 square meters is also in full blossom until mid-October.

The lion dance and dragon boat performances were held on Oct 1, and a fair featuring ancient styles and intangible cultural experience activities unraveled from Oct 1 to 7.
