Preparations for the upcoming 130th China Import and Export Fair will be held in Guangzhou's Haizhu district from Oct 15 to 19 and have been progressing smoothly, Guangzhou Daily reported on Oct 8.
"The face-to-face conversation is irreplaceable as both exhibitors and purchasers can get more opportunities from the experiences," said Guo Weihua, an official from the China Foreign Trade Center.
Efforts have been made by Guangzhou in various areas spanning medicine, pandemic prevention and control, accommodation, and transportation and customs clearance to better serve the event.
Areas near the China Import and Export Fair Complex have now started comprehensive renovation to make sure the areas are beautiful, clean and tidy.
Billboards for the 130th Canton Fair have been set up in parterres along the roads in the Pazhou area and advertisements have been put up at some of the bus stations in downtown Guangzhou to further promote the event.
An announcement was made stating that hotels in Guangzhou are not allowed to sell guestrooms at a price higher than the highest price of the same room from Sept 1, 2020 to Aug 31, 2021 to make sure that participants at the event can have better accommodations in Guangzhou.
