Guangzhou's Haizhu district is now devoting great efforts in constructing agricultural parks to develop the urban agricultural industry, Guangzhou Daily reported on Aug 20.
The district has completed one agricultural park by Aug 18 and the other four are still under construction.
One of the agricultural parks named "Yi Fang Le Tian," which stands for a farmland filled with happiness, has now started trial operation in the Ruibao Street community, offering an ideal place for local residents to get a closer look at agriculture and experience the joys of farming.
The agricultural park has welcomed an average weekend visitor rate of more than 1,000 daily since July 17. It now offers dozens of leisure attractions such as a planting of edible flowers and a greenhouse growing high-quality fruit and vegetables.

It is scheduled to open activities such as outdoor films and night tours in the future.
More than 1,000 small family farms with different areas, namely 20 square meters, 30 sq m and 60 sq m are available for people to rent or reserve one for their owns.
"Having our own farm downtown makes it possible to take my child to plant vegetables and learn more about agriculture regularly, and my child really likes it," said a visitor surnamed Chen.
