Haizhu district of Guangzhou, capital city of South China's Guangdong province, inaugurated a sub-platform on July 1 to allow local people to extend their online applications for any of the 16 administrative services offered and check the progress of their applications on the internet.

It represents the latest effort made by the Haizhu government to further streamline its administrative services and deliver more tangible benefits to local enterprises.

The new sub-platform has been integrated with multiple functions such as policy publicity, applications for required services, the handling and explanation of public inquiries and complaints, and the delivery of support policies to enterprises.

The integrated services platform allows the public to submit applications and follow their progress online.

Enterprises and individuals can log onto the sub-platform and file their applications to local authorities for administrative services, which cover social security housing for talents, annual assessment and mid-term review of the qualities of those talents employed in innovation and entrepreneurship, the confirmation of small and medium-sized enterprises with a promising future and the distribution of financial assistance to them, the selection of professionals in literary and sporting circles, finance-driven investment promotion, and financial incentives to candidate firms amid their IPO efforts.

These online services innovations have slashed the costs to applicants in terms of time, human labor and transportation during the entire process.
