Founded in 1994, Deng Shichang Memorial Hall is the only hall of fame in Guangzhou that was approved by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of the China Central Committee. It is a national AAA level tourist attraction, a national third-level museum, a patriotic education base and national defense education base in Guangdong province, and a party member education base in Guangzhou.

Its main building, the Ancestral Hall of the Deng Family, has a history of more than 100 years and is a protected culture relic site of Guangdong.

In June 2010, the Deng Shichang Memorial Hall launched the exhibition "National Hero Deng Shichang". It continues today with solid content and beautiful illustrations. Assisted by multimedia methods such as sound and light, the exhibition shows Deng Shichang's short but glorious life.
