History: Established in 1904, the hospital has accumulated remarkable advantages in culture and medical skills during the past more than 100 years, making it a comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care and rehabilitation. It is one of the first of the nation’s Class A tertiary hospitals. It is now an affiliated hospital of the Medical College of Jinan University, and is also a teaching hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Guangdong Pharmaceutical University and Guangzhou Medical University. It is the clinical training hospital of the Chinese Association for the Study of Pain, a national drug clinical trial agency, the Guangzhou clinical drug quality control center and a monitoring site for drug adverse reaction.
