As a district-level comprehensive museum, Haizhu Museum was established and opened to the public in 1999. In May 2009, it was rated as a national third-level museum. The museum has a wealth of items, including a "celadon glazed pot with a dish-like mouth and six looped handles from the Southern Dynasty," a "celadon and white-glazed porcelain jar with brown dots from the Song Dynasty," and other national third-level cultural relics with regional characteristics. The museum covers an area of more than 300 square meters and organizes various special exhibitions according to the changing needs of publicity and cultural work. It displays the political, economic, historical and cultural developments and achievements of modernization construction of Haizhu district from multiple angles. Haizhu Museum has always adhered to the people-oriented principle and has deepened its research on the historical evolution of Haizhu district by relying on the power of the people and their resources. Its goal is to attract more people to learn about Haizhu district. 

Eating, drinking and smoking are not allowed in the museum 

Hours of operation: 9 am to 5 pm (no entry after 4:30 pm), closed on Mondays, open on legal holidays
