I. When to Register

For a foreign infant born in China, both or one of the parents shall report his or her birth to the exit-entry administration of the public security organ and go through the birth registration procedures within 60 days of the infant's birth. They should then apply for a residence permit for the infant within 120 days of the birth registration procedure. (Foreign infants who can obtain foreign passports within 60 days of their birth can be exempted from this registration and visas can be directly applied for them as required.)

II. What to Prepare

1. "Foreigner Visa Documents Application Form";

2. Receipt of digital visa photo collection and examination in Guangdong Province;

3. Copy of birth certificate (check the original);

4. Copies of passports of the applicant's parents;

5. Other certificates deemed necessary by the public security organs.

III. Where to Go

Exit-Entry Administration Division of Guangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau, the exit-entry administration agency of the public security organ at the county (district) level entrusted by the Exit-Entry Administration Division of Guangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau.

IV. Notes

If the application materials are complete, the application will be processed on the spot free of charge.
