Established in 1960, Guangzhou Haizhu Foreign Language School is situated on the South Bank of the Pearl River. It is a provincial first-level school with a floor area of 27,707 sq m, a gym, a teaching building, an English scenario room, a general technology room, and a physical and chemical research room.

With the motto of honesty, harmony, agility, and fortitude, the school is dedicated to the comprehensive development of patriotic foreign language talents who have an international view and meet national and social development needs.

In April 2019, the school became an outstanding base of college applicants to Southern Medical University and to Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. It is also an extramural practical education base for students at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.
